NimaGen (Nijmegen, The Netherlands) is dedicated to Sanger Sequencing and cutting-edge Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies for the analysis of DNA in human genetics, microbiology & infectious disease, agrigenomics and forensics. Since 2011 NimaGen is part of Biolegio, a pioneer in the custom synthesis of high-grade oligonucleotides.

Clinical, industrial, contract-private and academic laboratories around the world use our advanced yet accessible and affordable solutions. We help them generate fast, accurate and reliable test results, enabling informed decision-making.

Your role and responsibilities

As one of our Account Managers you bring value to the company by applying life science portfolio knowledge into differentiated product (Custom Oligo’s, Sanger Sequencing and NGS Library Prep) and service solutions for our customers, and by overseeing the sales process. You will build productive and long-term relationships with customers for future business ventures and will advance Biolegio-NimaGen brand visibility and awareness. You will be selling exciting new NGS product developments ready for market access, and a well-recognized portfolio of drop-in alternatives for name-brand DNA clean-up and sequencing solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. minimum qualification in life sciences
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in ‘solutions selling’ and account management; application experience in Next-Generation Sequencing or Sanger Sequencing
  • Knowledge of the Human Genetics, Microbiology, Forensics or Agrigenomics markets, along with a relevant network in Clinical, Academic, Industrial and Contract-Private
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, relationship builder
  • Autonomous, initiative-taking, responsible, involved and results-oriented personality
  • Confident negotiator with the ability to close the deal, creative, out-of-the-box thinker
  • Analytical skills, problem-solving capacity (‘hands-on’ mentality)
  • Availability to business travel at least 25% of time (DACH, attending international events)
  • Business fluent in German and English; any third language proficiency is a plus
