Data Engineer
At Thirona, we develop AI-driven solutions that advance medical imaging and healthcare. We are looking for a Data Engineer who will help build scalable, secure, and reliable data systems to support our research and AI development teams.
In this role, you will work closely with Deep Learning Engineers and Software Developers to ensure high-quality medical imaging data is available where and when it matters.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructure for AI and medical imaging workflows
- Support the full data lifecycle, including acquisition, transfer, quality control, versioning, and archiving
- Improve data accessibility, traceability, and reporting processes
- Ensure secure and compliant handling of sensitive medical data
- Contribute to optimizing storage, hardware, and software infrastructure
What you bring
- A Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience with databases, data engineering, and ETL processes
- Strong Python programming skills
- A proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with medical imaging data (e.g. DICOM) is a plus
- Experience with AI/ML workflows is a strong advantage
The Data Engineer reports to the Team Lead Development & Operations.
