Job Description
- Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform.
- Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards.

Requirements
- Key technical knowledge has been effectively transferred
- 3rd-line network support continues without disruption
- The migration to the new network environment is technically supported and smoothly executed
- Work closely with the outgoing Network Engineer to fully assume ownership of the current network architecture, configurations, and technical dependencies
- Maintain a strong on-site presence during the initial months to ensure a seamless handover
- Take full responsibility for 3rd-line support within a complex, international network environment (Cisco, FortiGate, Meraki)
- Serve as the technical escalation point for complex network-related incidents
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve advanced connectivity, performance, and security issues
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on support during the migration to the parent company’s centralized network environment
- Support the structured decommissioning of legacy hardware
- Deliver advisory input based on in-depth knowledge of the existing infrastructure landscape
- Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately once every 5–6 weeks)
- Networking & Security- Firewalls (Cisco ASA, FortiGate), Switching and routing (Cisco Nexus, Catalyst), VPN technologies (Point-to-Site / Site-to-Site), Cisco Meraki solutions, Strong knowledge of networking protocols and services such as DNS, DHCP, BGP, and related technologies, Experience with Microsoft Azure networking components (VNet, Peering, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways)
- Identity & Directory Services- Active Directory integration with network services
- Virtualization- Networking within VMware environments (vSphere)
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix
- Proven track record supporting IT transitions and network migration initiatives
- Strong expertise in multi-vendor network ecosystems (Cisco, FortiGate), network security, and LAN/WAN technologies
- Pragmatic, self-sufficient professional with a strong focus on operational stability and continuity
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to capture, document, and transfer knowledge effectively
- Fluent in both English and Dutch (written and spoken)
