Requirements
- The primary objective of this role is to ensure the operational stability and continuity of the international Azure and Microsoft infrastructure during a critical transition phase.
- Essential technical knowledge has been fully transferred
- 3rd-line system support operates without disruption
- The migration to the new Azure environment is technically supported and effectively guided
- Work closely with the departing System Administrator to gain full ownership of the existing Azure architecture, processes, and technical dependencies
- Maintain a high on-site presence during the first 3–4 weeks to ensure a seamless transition
- Take full responsibility for 3rd-line support within a complex, international IT landscape
- Focus primarily on the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure, Entra ID, and Windows Server
- Serve as the technical escalation point for complex infrastructure-related issues
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve high-impact incidents to maintain service stability
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on support during the migration to the parent company’s centralized Azure environment
- Offer guidance from both technical and organizational change perspectives
- Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately once every 5–6 weeks)
- Cloud & Automation- Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, Networking, Azure Virtual Desktop, Automation Accounts, Logic Apps), Azure DevOps, PowerShell scripting
- Microsoft Core & Identity- Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, ADCS, DFS), Azure AD / Entra ID (including Conditional Access), Microsoft Intune
- Virtualization & Storage- VMware (vSphere, ESXi), VEEAM Backup solutions, NAS and SAN storage systems
- Systems & Data- Windows Server and foundational Linux knowledge, Databases (MSSQL, MySQL), Enterprise authentication protocols (SAML, OIDC, SCIM)
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix
- Demonstrated experience supporting IT transitions and cloud migration programs
- Strong technical expertise across Microsoft Azure, Active Directory / Entra ID, and broader Microsoft infrastructure
- Pragmatic, self-driven professional with a strong focus on operational stability and continuity
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to absorb, document, and transfer knowledge effectively
- Fluency in both English and Dutch (written and spoken)
