About the job
The Automation Development Department develops advanced electrical, software, and IoT solutions for our systems and installations.

As an (Junior) Hardware Engineer you develop electrical cabinets for new systems or systems that are being updated. First, together with a multi-disciplinary team you will define a system architecture and then further detail the electrical solution that will satisfy the system requirements. You are also responsible to design tests to prove that the electrical solution works as expected and, in the end, will execute those tests either on location or in a test facility.
 

Your daily tasks are:

  • Responsible for the development and improvement of electrical cabinet design,
  • Design of (modular) electrical panels and perform relevant calculations and assessments,
  • Close contact with suppliers, panel builders, and order execution,
  • Drawing of electrical diagrams, layout and detail drawings. Review engineering drawings and analyse design,
  • Developing new Alfa Laval products and work on documentation and test protocols,
  • Stay up to date with state of the art technology and (software) tools and be able to implement those in our way of working if necessary,
     
  • Who you are

    You are a creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail. Furthermore, you have:

  • A Bachelor degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar field,
  • 0-3 years of work experience
  • Being eager to learn new things,
  • Experience with EPLAN is a plus,
  • Enthusiastic about electrical engineering,
  • Good communicative skills,
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
