During your assignment, you will be part of the D&EM (Developed and Emerging Markets) R&D team.You’llbe working in a high performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level.You’llbe reporting to Francesco Torraca, Process Design & Pilot PlantManager).As an integrated team member, we welcome you to take part in the team’s activities such as team meetingsand categorymeetingswhich will give you a real feel for the company and the business. Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior stakeholders. The delivery of the Process Modeling Program will be your primary responsibility.

Project brief 

You willbe responsible forthe development,validation,and simulation of mathematical/ data models for key unit operations, that will enable continuous improvement of our production processes and development of novel process design.Furthermore,you’llsupport the development of new digital capabilities. 

Key activities

  • Learning about Processing technologies and potential applications for the Kraft Heinz portfolio. 

  • Data generation by performing pilot plant trials with different unit operations and the key unit operation under investigation 

  • Developing,validatingand simulation of CFD / mathematical / data models for key unit operations under investigation 

  • Carrying out a techno-economic evaluation on the outcome generated bymodel

  • Set conclusionsand recommendations

  • Sharing knowledge within the HIC and other departments (presentation and final report).

  • Basic Requirements for all:

    You should havestrong communicationskills and fluency in English, both written and verbal (Dutch is not a requirement but other languages are a plus) 

  • You are enrolled at a university for at least 50% study load for the duration of the internship. 

  • Non – EU Students: Need to be enrolled at a Dutch University for the whole duration of the internship.

  • NOTE: EU working rights arerequired(Either you have EU Citizenship, you are studying in the Netherlands or have relevant student work visa) 

    Job Requirements 

  • Education: Master’s level in food processing technology or chemical food/chemical related engineering 

  • Work Experience:Minimal 

  • Knowledgeon: Food processing, unit operations, process modelling(CFD tools,COMSOLis a plus),fluid dynamics principles
