Overview
In this role you will drive packaging development for primary, secondary and tertiary formats, working across Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Supply-Chain, FSQ and Regulatory to align on packaging strategies. You will lead large, complex projects from concept to delivery, translate regulatory needs into technical concepts, and foster cross-functional collaboration to deliver cost-competitive, sustainable packaging solutions. The role sits in the R&D Packaging team in Nijmegen, contributing to innovation and CAPEX-focused initiatives with ownership and impact across the supply chain.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Lead packaging development projects with a consumer-first mindset
- Manage large/complex projects with independent execution and cross-functional alignment
- Deliver NPD, VE & Supply Chain projects through R&D governance
- Lead SC packaging initiatives including new equipment and line commissioning; oversee CAPEX maintenance
- Support development of new or cost-efficient packaging within agreed innovation and cost-out pipelines
- Translate PPWR legislation into actionable technical concepts
- Deliver key goals: fundamentals, cost competitiveness, sustainability, and capability building through coaching
- Develop, industrialize and implement packaging solutions with robust risk management and quality attributes
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and actively coach the packaging team
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 8+ years of packaging development experience in a complex/matrix organization
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and network-building skills
- Ability to present complex technical topics to non-technical audiences
- Fast learner in a changing environment; independent worker
- Understanding of consumer needs and trends; translate into concepts/prototypes to execution
- High ownership and decision-making capability; strong prioritization in dynamic workloads
