Control System Engineer

Alfa Laval OceanGlide is an unique air lubrication solution with fluidic technology. It creates an even and controllable air layer across the entire flat bottom of the vessel, which is the best setup for reducing friction between the hull and the water. The proven reduction in drag means greater energy efficiency, lower fuel costs and less CO² emitted into the atmosphere. Along with reduced marine noise, these factors make OceanGlide an important step towards more sustainable shipping.

For OceanGlide we are hiring a Control System Engineer to support our operations and development activities regarding the control system.

About the job

As a Control System Engineer you are supporting the engineering team regarding the automation for appointed projects. Also you will be responsible for further standardizing and developing the control system.

Participating in internal meetings with engineering to discuss/clarify issues and automation.

Providing optimal design and provision of detailed information to the engineering and bid team.

Participating in commissioning & performance tests and assist in troubleshooting.

Collaborate with engineering teams to accelerate software development velocity with increased quality.

Understand the complexities involved in the development of software.

Proactively automate processes wherever necessary.

Who you are

Master or Bachelor degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, or comparable.

At least a few years of relevant working experience.

Experience in working with PLC’s and structured text, preferable B&R.

Creative, analytical and conceptual skills.

A self-starter who is able to come up with initiatives.

A good knowledge of written and spoken English.
